What is the Disability Compensation Benefit (PCH)?

In France, the Disability Compensation Benefit (PCH) covers certain expenses related toa major difficulty in autonomy, as a consequence of disability (for example, funding for technical assistance or hiring a third party).

It is a financial aid,granted upon a specific request made through a file, with a quote to support it. The allocation of aid then depends on an evaluation of this request by a multidisciplinary committee.

To establish the request, it is necessary to send to theDepartmental House for Disabled Persons (MDPH)of your department:

Recourse to PCH for AMIKEO

The Amikeo Tablet Pack is a technical compensation aid aimed at developing the autonomy of people with disabilities. Designed with a scientific and ethical committee and in partnership with user associations (UNAPEI, French Federation Sésame Autisme…)the Amikeo Tablet Packincludes:

  • A secure and adapted tablet (with one interface for the user and one for the caregiver)
  • A pack of 10 applications specifically designed and adapted for cognitive or mental disabilities
  • A reinforced case with screen protector and stand

Funding modalities

1.The AMIKEO Tablet Pack can be coveredunder the technical aid of the disability compensation benefit (up to 75% within the limit of €3,960 over a 3-year period) *

* Additionally, the departmental compensation fund (via the MDPH), the mutual social fund, the Community Social Action Center of your municipality, and the complementary retirement fund can be requested to cover the remaining costs following the PCH agreement (subject to resource conditions).

2. The PCH assistance is granted for a period of 3 years. It is also recommended to request an AMIKEO quote for 3 years to cover the subscription period.

3.We advise you to test the applicationsto explain in the request how they are suited to the user's needs (applications available for free testing on the App Store and Google Play Store).

4.It is recommended to fill out the application form with the support of professionals(speech therapists, psychologists, occupational therapists…)
